Riparian Skills Development Workshops

Services: Management, Restoration, Riparian

The Riparian Skills Development workshops support landowners through demonstrating practical skills needed to sustainably manage riparian areas on agricultural lands.

The goal of this workshop series is to teach landowners specific skills related to riparian health, restoration and management. This includes methods of conducting riparian health assessments, harvesting stem cuttings, planting, maintenance, and grazing management. Through this project AWES aims to equip landowners across Alberta with the knowledge, skills, and support necessary to restore and sustainably manage their riparian areas.
