Join us for a hands-on workshop focused on riparian management and restoration!

Time: 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Location: Mountain View Community Hall and nearby field site
Schedule:
12:30 PM:
Doors open at Mountain View Community Hall.
Coffee, snacks, and resource materials will be available.
1:00 PM:
Presentations begin:
Kelsey Spicer-Rawe (Cows & Fish): Riparian Management and Restoration
Winston Gamache (Agroforestry & Woodlot Extension Society): Riparian planting and bioengineering
2:30 PM:
Travel to a nearby field site where planting is in progress.
The remainder of the workshop will take place outdoors.
Field activities will include:
Live staking and planting demonstration.
Wattle fence demonstration.
Discussion on species selection, planting location, and planting techniques.
Optional participation in planting activities.
4:30 PM:
Return to the hall (if needed).
Workshop concludes.
Event Details:
This workshop will proceed rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather and be prepared for walking on uneven ground at the field site.
Bring gloves if you wish to participate in the planting activities.
