Summary: Can trees save your property? Shelterbelts may be the answer to your property’s woes.

About this Event:

Shelterbelts are commonly used in agricultural and rural areas to improve land productivity and environmental conditions. A well-planned shelterbelt showcases several rows, or groupings of trees and shrubs of various growth heights, planted to protect an area from strong winds, thereby reducing soil erosion, providing shelter for crops, livestock, and buildings, as well as reducing snowdrifts on roads. Join AWES and Shelterbelt Specialist, Blair English, as we unpack the logistics of implementing this type of natural feature on your land.  Additionally, learn how the Agroforestry & Woodlot Extension Society can help fund and implement this type of planting project with you!

You will be able to access this webinar through the link provided to you upon registration. Please plan to enter 5-10 minutes before the webinar starts, in case you encounter technical difficulties.
